They addressed this in their FAQ:

      Skyrim VR?:

      • The most recent Skyrim VR version is currently on the pre-anniversary update of Skyrim and thus is incompatible with Skyblivion through normal means.
      • A community-made VR patch mod would have to be installed for Skyblivion to boot properly. Regardless, there will be no official support for Skyrim VR at this time.

It’s not impossible and modders will likely jump at the opportunity the moment Skyblivion releases, but nobody can tell how long it would take to implement proper VR support.

Essentially zero. Bethesda has indicated that they’re aware and supportive multiple times.

There’s no porting of files from Oblivion to Skyrim. Everything is made/remade from scratch. That means there’s no copyright violation to enforce.

Plus they’re taking one Bethesda game and bringing it into another Bethesda game. And Bethesda already had 1.5 years to sell the official remaster, so this can’t really hurt sales. And trying to C&D a community project they’ve been aware of the entire time would kill any goodwill the community has for them.

So no, it’s highly unlikely to get a C&S. Bethesda isn’t Nintendo

If you make enough noise and get the community mad enough they kinda back doen just make sure you arent essentially letting people “pirate” the game.

There was a Bethesda lawyer in the forums for openMW many years ago who they managed to work with and not get the project taken down.
