This is so obscure a game from PC Gamer (in the title) that it seems like a paid advertisement.
Such an obscure game it only has, let me check steamdb.info quickly, around 1 million owners on steam alone.
So maybe you just haven’t heard of it before?
It’s one of those (relatively) well known indie success stories. Not at the level of say Stardew Valley, but in the same category.
The game is good example of how people look for different experiences in gaming.
