Just want to remind everyone that PalWorld is a really good game. Its still getting major updates and has an insane amount of high quality content to explore.

I disagree. It probably won’t be as popular as an app that does have editing features but personally I’m fine with the lack of this feature.

I would also rather just edit photos in another dedicated app. IMO this is in line with the UNIX philosophy and I like that.

Human rights issues are not political. The attempt by the right to cast them as political serves to suppress discussion and progress by making the very act of discussing these things at all be seen as taboo. We can’t let that happen.

That point aside, libre software is pretty much inherently political.

How did you design this in a way that it would require a “substantial update” to swap out the API URL? It should be as easy as setting an environmental variable. There are many LLM providers and local LLMs that support the openAI API schema.

You may find a better answer in the distinction between “profit” and “exploit”.

Does GPL allow a corporation to profit off your work? Yes it does.

Does it allow them to exploit your work? In my opinion, no.

Compared to something like MIT which in my opinion lets them both profit and exploit you.

Yeah I ran fedora for a while when I first got this since that’s one of the official distros but it seems like it would really just be a function of the kernel itself and the laptop firmware.

Going back to fedora does not enable deep sleep by default and I’m way too afraid to manually switch it again after having to pull the battery 5 times already in pursuit of a solution.

I’ve been told this just doesn’t/can’t work.

So basically unless someone can say “I experienced the same exact problem and here’s how I fixed it” I’m just too afraid to try again haha.

Framework advises not to pull the battery and they are not wrong in that advisement. It’s sketchy as hell.

When I enable deep sleep it prevents me from even accessing bios, so I can’t do the firmware battery disconnect at that point.

AUR is super cool (when it’s not getting DDOSed).

Building packages from scratch isn’t that hard usually but it can be and AUR really does simplify that.
