I’d say the first one is my favorite. There’s definitely something special about it being 1 big dungeon and spending most of our time indoors. When I started to reach the top and got to see sunlight after so long was a great feeling.

Santa Monica Studio definitely has an eye for quality. God of War is one of the few franchises that I like pretty much every entry in.

Sonic is an actual goldmine of an IP and Sega seems hellbent wasting it on bullshit cashgrabs. The success of the Sonic detective game should have been their wakeup call. Making Sonic go fast ruined his games for over 20 years.

I don’t think the gambling in Pokemon is limited to the game corner. For example, choosing to attack when you’re confused or paralyzed can be seen as a “gamble.”
