Generally they don’t and I’m still wary of Zen but as long as they’re staying on the latest FF version and not adding any telemetry of their own then I’m gonna use it.
I’m liking it but I’m fully ready to jump back to my faithful Librewolf if Zen proves untrustworthy.
Maybe they’ll have more new features this time :/
Fedora is generally pretty good
That’s exactly what I was thinking lol. There are debian based immutable systems that would be great for this setup
I actually like this redesign. Anyone else?
If it’s a filesystem, it can be backed up using BorgBackup. There are a few different clients but I personally use Vorta on Linux.
KDE Plasma does.
I’ll look into it
Yes. Unfortunately I’m on a laptop so I can’t just keep a high-speed secondary SSD plugged in at all times. If I knew the specific file that’s being pulled I could probably sort out some ramfs stuff but I’ve never done that before.
Is this gonna fix the stuttering when I open the overview?
I use GrapheneOS and all I miss from Android is the custom lock screen clocks and pulling images from any app using the recent apps page.
Welcome to the club! I hope you find Mint to your liking!
I hope you have backups, man.
Your first proposal still falls victim to the fact that screen recording exists.
Boy do I have news for you…
Like others have said, definitely try a few distributions out via USB before committing. Also, you can dm me if you need help beyond what you find online.
Good luck, and have fun!
Bug reporting is really helpful for smaller projects. My personal policy is to check if a big has already been reported. If it hasn’t, go to the project forum and ask if I’m doing something wrong. If it turns out there’s an actual issue, I report it as a bug. You can go straight to reporting it after step one if you want but I usually just make sure.
