Debian. You’ll have the same (amazing) package manager without the extra ubuntu stuff. Find a desktop manager that supports the stylus (I assume Gnome and KDE Plasma both will support it).
Just make sure to enable non-free packages.
A loom that learned to weave itself.

Don’t they have a web app too?
Scary. But I would 100% watch the robot fight club.
Okay, but can we even see in 8k?
I think perhaps some of the world is starting to realize that.
Finally!

on the day you’re laid off because you scripted your own replacement.
I’m very happy with my EndeavourOS installation. It’s arch-based, but with easier installation and some apps to help maintain the system. I’ve had it on my T16 for more than 2 years now.
Fedora is probably the most obvious choice though, since you’ve already used it.
Is this specifically for Americans? And who is organizing it?

Oh nice, fellow Canadians doing the good work.
I would greatly prefer public sector development. I’m just being fatalistic about how our oligarchy conducts itself.
I like democracy, but I don’t like our short-sighted (4-8 year) election-campaign-based governing. But between our public and private sectors I know we can meet this challenge and make this happen.
Man, I wish we (Canada) were that ambitious. I know lemmy hates Elon Musk but I really admire his ambition in technical pursuits. I’m not saying we need more Elon Musks, but we should pursue more grand projects.
I think most of us have a good idea of the benefits and drawbacks of Linux/Windows/Apple.
I have a Windows machine for media production, because Linux doesn’t support all the software I need for media production. I use Linux for absolutely everything else, because it’s better for literally everything else. In truth, a MacBook Pro would be better for media production but they’re too expensive.
I’m quoting OP’s summary (or quote). I’m implying that Microsoft is hostile to Linux installations generally.
“wasn’t supposed to”
I did actually read the article and I did not miss the point even a little bit.
yeah a lot of their stuff is junk
My T16 is fantastic. I wish it were more moddable, but it’s an amazing machine. Extremely quiet and powerful, I love the 16:10 screen. They keyboard is amazing too. Framework also has 16:10 screens and they’re more moddable, but I doubt their keyboards are any good. And as a profitable company they should pay people for advertising and data collection.
This is amazing, because their AI is useless garbage.
