Steam installs proton on its own when you just click the button insettings so you don’t even need to install proton. Just works

You may find it hard to believe but that doesnt mean you are right. Most ditros are quite easy to set up. Ubuntu and Mint are both already modified Debian. Why not some other modified one? A distro modified to game is already set up for gaming.

If you can get most of the games on PC, why would you buy an entire console? Just buy a controller and now you have a keyboard, mouse, And controller to cover all the different game types.

Is this somewhat normal for installing Linux on an old macbook? Everything I install Linux on these days…everything just works. I haven’t gone through something like this in ages. But I have considered getting and old macbook air and putting Linux on it. This is making me think they don’t function very well een though it is intel?

Honestly I recommend the version made specifically for your distro. I haven’t had the best luck with flatpak but the ones made for Debian, rpm, etc always work great

I am not a programmer. But I have been using github as an end user for years, downloading programs I like and whatnot. Today I realized there are stars on github. Literally never even noticed.
