A whole generation of people have literally never played a single player game and don’t know how to.

Yes, you still shoot bugs and robots.

But the planets that are available- and by extension the missions - change all the time. You can’t just mainline the game for 150 hours in a week and experience all of it.

Most of the people complaining about the lack of variance in gameplay are the ones playing 12 hours a day constantly.

You can’t “binge” a live service game where the plot changes in real time.
