I agree with you 100%. Ever since Google made the switch to their crapware Tensor modem, the Pixels have been going downhill starting with the Pixel 5, I guess with the exception of the Pixel 8 series, which I’m rocking right now.

Heck, I’d argue that Pixels in general are better cameras than they are phones. My beloved Pixel 4 XL succumbed to that swollen battery issue, and my Pixel 6 Pro couldn’t keep a consistent cell connection if my life depended on it (and I think in one case it very well could have).

The day GrapheneOS reveals the Motorola phone from its partnership is the day I will jump ship from Google Pixel, camera quality be damned. Y’know, provided Motorola uses a Qualcomm chip and not Tensor or gasp Exynos!

Me, except at this point my PC will be a Steam Machine with Steam Deck, and Switch 2 on the side.

I bought a $20 Onn 4k TV box from Walmart, degoogled it, replaced the stock launcher with FLauncher and eventually LTVLauncher. So I guess DeGoogled Google TV (AndroidTV OS).

I mean, when it comes to console exclusives, some can’t be beat. Nintendo and Sony have proven that console exclusives still drive sales.

Fair, I also have a Switch 2, and Pokopia looks like tons of fun.

My argument was moreso “I have other options” apart from Nintendo if they ever go the “you will own nothing and you will be happy about it” route, which they seem to be inching towards.

Well, Ninty, I have a Steam Deck loaded with cracked games, roms of your old shit you refuse to rerelease, PC ports of said roms, fan games, and games I’ve bought theough Steam that will literally last me several generations at this point, and that’s not even counting the games that have yet to release.

Yessir, I have enough PC games to never touch a Nintendo game ever again. And if I ever do feel the urge, there are tons of fan games, ports and roms of Nintendo IP accessible via web browser.

Any games that do take advantage of the increased performance cost $5-20 extra.

One of the smartest thing Nintendo could have done, and it seemed like they were doing this with BOTW/TOTK was to offer the upgrade for free with NSO Expansion Pak memberships, to increase the value of NSO Expansion Pak, get more people to sign up for NSO Expansion Pak and make the Switch 2 a more viable purchase.

BUT NAAAAAAH, ROTFLMAO, $20 ON TOP OF $70 ANNUALLY ON TOP OF $70 GAMES COMING OUT MONTHLY ON TOP OF A $450-500 CONSOLE + $100 ACCESSORIES IS MOTHERFUCKING CRAZY.

That’s why you buy a Steam Deck instead, pirate Cyberpunk and be able to play it with mods for much better performance than on the Switch 2. Plus, you can pirate a shit ton of other games. Proton on Steam Deck has come a VERY long way.
