22 days agoYou know, now that I think of it, Mirrors Edge Catalyst kinda scratched that Oni itch a while back. Another underrated game that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Oni was fun, but did not age well. By the time I finished the game I had enough combat moves to make it feel interesting, then the game ended.

Man, Star Control 2 was my favorite game to introduce friends to during the BBS days. Two player melee over a shared keyboard! The music in SC2 was top notch MOD/XM music back when trackers were starting to form a genre. Beeps on computers were the norm but you could hear a drum track over the internal PC speaker in this game. IMHO Tunic is the only game that came close to the wonder and awe of exploration and discovery. Absolutely a masterpiece.

Would like some advice on how to get invested in the game. Got past the tutorial into a bit more open world and I’m torn between side quests and the main quest. Worried I’ll go into some territory that I’m not prepared for.
It’s a beautiful game. Just want to find that groove.
