I think it’s less of a monopoly and more of the fact that they won the market share game. I could buy all my games somewhere else but I don’t know why I would do something so stupid.

Imagine feeling threatened by cartoon boobies.

First they came for the hentai but I did not speak out because I’m not a weeb…

For a really long time I never thought I’d do more than one gold stake. That first one was the only completionist feeling one to me.
I later discovered Dr. Specter’s Balatro University and also watched a lot of Major League Balatro. I learned a ton and thought that maybe I’d give harder stakes another try. There’s a lot of dopamine to be had in applying theoretical knowledge to overcome something you previously thought was nearly impossible.
Black stake is a whole other beast though. Dr. Specter himself says if you really want to beat it you should be prepared to reset over and over for hours on end.

Black deck is my last gold stake and I feel exactly the same way.

+1 for Balatro.

You’re actually so wrong.

I’m at about the same amount. Kinda shocking to see it.
They could easily solve the double right handed problem by sewing one to the other upside down.

What about a bolo tie and a cowboy hat?

Takes extra time to get that fourth A.
Also, never give Ubisoft money.

I misread that as enter the gungeon and got confused. But yeah exit the gungeon is a mobile game so it’s mid to low tier.

That’s nice sweetie 👵

Everybody waaaaiiill

I had initially lowered it a bit at some point. I didn’t realize it was steam recording for a while and spent a day or two trying driver updates and various things. next time I have a chance I’ll try a significant decrease just for testing.

Steam recording causes my mouse to stop moving for 1-2 seconds every 5-10 seconds.

I have it on both and they’re pretty much identical. Having buttons available can be sorta nice for specific actions, but on the other hand a phone is easier to carry around. Both are great with minor pros and cons.

I’ll pay triple if I can play it 25 minutes before anyone else has access.
Edmund has said he specifically did this on purpose. There’s no singular game winning item. The power comes from combinations. He added passives and items that seem boring at face value but get better when synergizing with something else.
With all that said I think the breeding is what will make runs broken. Good items will be an unnecessary cherry on top when your cats are overpowered from the start.
