“Hey everyone, I’m kicking off the array rebuild. See you all in a month.”
Give the AI restraints, like “Don’t tell me to kill myself as part of this stir-fry recipe.”
Ouch

Remember, folks, HR is there too protect the company, not you.

Work makes you use your own computer?

This is the way.
Same for airfare, car rentals, cruises, etc. Cut out the fucking middle man. The booking sites used to be a nice way for consolidating your travel plans. But as everything else, they’ve enshittified themselves to a point where using them has become a major gamble.
Use them to find a deal, then go directly to the source. You may pay slightly more, but the fewer agreements you have between you and the service provider, the less chance you have of getting fucked over.

100,000x = MegaBullshit
1,000,000x = GigaBullshit

I’m gonna object that! The little fuckers are too coddled these days.

I’d argue that it hits gen pop even harder than it does us techies. How many times is a grandma going to switch video calling and messaging apps before her grandkids install WhatsApp on her phone? Is ANYONE going to touch any console Google releases in the future after the Stadia fiasco?
We techies are more open to trying out new technology, but for the other 99% of population though, tinkering is a nuisance rather than fun. They have better things to do than looking for ways to migrate their stuff out of the next Google project that’s being discontinued in 2 months.

It’s probably too late. Does anyone these days really believe that these companies actually delete anything?

After that - dubbing in realtime.

I’m OK with letting websites not allowing me to block ads, as long as I can hold them personally liable for content of any ads they serve up.
No? Then kindly fuck right off with this shit.
No, it’s that guy from Star Wars.

“You wouldn’t download a train!”

When they say “supports” they really mean “was tested with”.

People keep forgetting that “the cloud” is just someone else’s computer. You don’t want to pay for in-house experts to support your IT infrastructure? Welp, being locked out by a vendor is a side effect of that.

If you didn’t take prod down at least once in your career, are you even a developer?

Can the rest of us get frozen in carbonite or take a trip forward in a TARDIS to where this has already happened?
Is he learning nothing from Microslop’s bullshit? Who exactly is asking for this shit?
