the scope for starfield was just too much, it was doomed to fail from the beginning. i think they’ll be fine going back to their TES roots.

oblivion is my favorite in the series, but goddammit bethesda stop making remakes. make a make.
what makes wow not a live service game? aren’t all MMOs by definition live service?
gray, whatever.
beige, no. never again.
Mass Effect the IP isn’t the issue, the issue is EA sucks. So you’re basically asking why do they even persist as a company anymore.
Also I think Andromeda was okay, just terribly buggy at launch. The gameplay was actually pretty fun imo. On the other hand, Veilguard was technically sound but the game itself was not great. So if they can somehow learn lessons from both, there is hope.
micromacro crime city is fun. It’s kinda like a giant Where’s Waldo map except you solve mysteries as a team.
the strategy is to buy everything you can ASAP but focus on monopolizing and developing the orange and red properties. they are statistically much higher to land on than other properties because people get sent to jail so often. When exiting jail rolling 6, 8, or 9 is very likely to hit orange first and then maybe red on the next roll.
tldr; punish the poor fuckers getting out of jail. yay capitalism!
valve is a publisher too, and they have the exact same policy for their games.
yeah I think I played about 10 hours. the initial stage around hogwarts proper was interesting and fun, but once the quests went out into the open world it got a lot more tedious.
the major difference with GOW is that you can pause combat at will to strategize and time abilities/combos with your squad.
I wouldn’t say it’s bad, but it’s not great either.
…and then hand the IP to another studio.
yet they still keep making them.
eh it’ll be back. they are doing another mass effect after Andromeda.
online multiplayer bullshit with monthly fees.
idunno, to me the heavy reliance on platforming and metroidvania-style traversal far outweighs any superficial RPG elements in those games. I just get annoyed rather than immersed in the game.
KOTOR. just existing in a Star Wars world and becoming a Jedi. really have no idea why we can’t have another Jedi RPG, do you not like money Disney?
once in a while there are rumors. absolutely not “always”.
there are specific rumors causing it that the article goes into. not saying it’s real, but it’s also not just gamers being bored.
FO76 and Starfield were much much more risky than TES6 or FO5 will be.
