I’ve had an android phone since the iPhone 4 came out, but I’m done, I hate the iPhone ui but my wife has one and it will make something’s easier. I’d rock a Linux phone if I could use my work apps on it(it’s not a work requirement, but saves me from logging into another computer to check email and do my timesheet)

ChromeOs is fine for an Internet browser, not sure anything else. I set one up for my ex’s grandparents and it was perfect for them, they were able to login to their email and read all the insane right-wing emails they were subscribed to. I gave them Netflix to try to curb the 24/7 viewing of fox News.

I can’t believe I didn’t know Bezos wasn’t CEO any more. Thanks for the info. 2021 was a weird year for me guess I wasn’t paying attention when that happened. Doesn’t change my opinion of Bezos as a person, but now I have someone new I also dislike 🤣.

I didn’t even disagree with the author’s assessment of bezos but it really made the article shit. I really wish people would stop putting their opinions into every “article”. Amazon looks shitty without the insults. Use neutral language and detail the facts of a situation and let the reader think " God I’m so sick of bezos and his Mr. Clean wannabe, fascist loving, punchable face." On their own.

I do have a young child, and where does op state they are a single parent. Yes throwing screens in front of kids is the easiest way for you to ignore them and do what you have to do, but it’s not recommended and it’s bad for their development.

The original Call of Duty was my favorite. I didn’t have a good computer so I played it at a LAN center for a good while. The game also kicked off a domino of events in my friends life when I gave him a CD key for it.
My friend got pretty good at the game and joined a competitive CAL-M team, and even played at a CPL championship tournament. Well after he graduated college one of the people he played with on the team and he started a company making websites. When he told me what he was doing, I told him just don’t blow too much money on it.
They ended up pivoting from their original plan of making fitness blog sites, among other niche sites they felt could generate ad revenue to making flash game sites.
They did moderately well in their endeavors and scored some high ranking search results for a few categories of flash games. They were making hundreds of thousands each and he moved to another to save on income tax. In the new state he met a woman and they ended up getting married, so I was able to draw a direct path from me giving him a CD key for cod to him getting moderately wealthy and finding a wife.
Unfortunately the last domino hasn’t fallen, and it turned out she was a lieing, money grubbing, cheating whore. Flash games died out but my friend moved on to other things. He is doing great, happily remarried and we both had our first kid within about a month of each other.
I don’t get bugged outside of work hours I just don’t want to switch computers all day.
