I only recently played the first game an absolutely loved it. I didn’t realize the second was so close to coming out. Can’t wait. I know review scores tend to be inflated messes but this overwhelming positivity has me even more hyped.

I don’t but thanks for letting me know! My poor Xbox Series S just sits under the tv unused. :| one of the reasons I’m thinking of grabbing the game for 8 dollars. I have all three major consoles and a steam deck and everything gets used except the Xbox.
I just finished Alan Wake 2 yesterday. I think it was pretty flawed but still an overall enjoyable experience. Alan Wake 1 is one of my favorite games of all time though so I may be biased and overlooking some flaws.
I’ve never played Quantum Break and see it’s on sale on Xbox right now. I might pick it up to play it I’ve played just about everything else Remedy has touched. I have the game on steam but I’ve heard the steam deck is only a so-so experience compared to Xbox for this title.
I’ve tried playing since release on PlayStation. Haven’t gotten a full squad and it seems impossible to solo on normal. I’ll be trying to lower the difficulty tonight.
And I know I’m only on the first map, a boiler room but so far it’s pretty boring. All three levels/chapters on this map have been the same just with more and more mobs to fight and more things to repair. I think there are some fun ideas. (Repairs with kit versus without being different for example). But the worst part is this map doesn’t feel like the oldest house at all. I’m hoping if I can make it to the next map I’ll start to see some inspired map designs or other players.
Majorly bummed because I love Remedy.
I quit long before that. I don’t even remember what my last straw was. I still follow the news occasionally and now that it’s free to play I log in like once a year just to look.
Wow I’m not familiar with them at all. Where can I go to read some not fluff pieces on them?
It’s a bummer. Eve is special but CCP hasn’t seem intent on running a healthy game in over 10 years at least. I’m not sure if it was PA or their choice to launch a Vr game I always wanted to try that. And I do think they should pursue the mixed game approach. Playing Dust back in the day with friends and piloting a destroyer to do orbital bombardments was something special.
I digress I hope Eve and CCP are ok in the long run.
Oh I agree. I’m just bitching that it was all done secretly.
The fact that it’s secret implies to me the community won’t be happy. Idk.
Yeah he could have reached out to the community to find someone to run it who would act ethically.
That’s exciting. I’ve been meaning to play the first one for years. Maybe I’ll finally get to it before the remake comes out. ::: spoiler Spoiler Doubtful :::
Lots of stuff to bitch about with GW but prices aren’t one of them. Exhibit A is the article you’re responding to, they are responsible with their profits and put them where they should. Exhibit B is they could minimize costs and outsource the entire plastic operation but they still make all models in England. Exhibit C is paying for Art is always morally the correct thing to do, even when mass produced. Finally Exhibit D, fuck GW for promoting incredibly short lifecycles for their games and pushing an almost weekly FOMO event on products that leads a lot more to these profits than just model sales.
It is like risk but cooler! And honestly you don’t need a 2k point meta army to start with. For the price of two or three $60 video games (guess I have to preface that now) you can have enough models for you and a friend to have an absolute blast.
I agree with the glasses component. This tech will be so cool once it can integrate with what I already wear daily. Just like the watch.
I don’t think these were released with the goal of relevance. I think they were released for “innovators” to get their hands on and to gage interest for broader implementation.
Basic product lifecycle like I don’t even think these are for the “early adopters” these are for the “innovators” or what ever the first part of product lifecycle is.
I’ve always wanted to get into XI I wish it didn’t still have such an expensive sub.
Pancake trailer park
Honestly they should have never been yearly releases. Of course everyone is burnt out on them, and nothing innovate has happened in the rally codemaster games in years. I’m sad this is happening but it’s definitely mismanagement.
I’m not familiar with Nodm. All my wife is looking for is weather and her work calendar so I was following a guide from YouTube/a guys blog similar to your set up just opening chromium in kiosk mode.
Can’t get it to open though.
“Fun” I’ve ran into two super frustrating issues that I can’t solve in the last couple days. Yes if I daily drove Linux maybe I’d be better at solving them but I’m just not having fun.
I was trying to use a raspberry Pi and a small screen to make a daily planner for my wife. I can not get the .desktop file to open the browser on boot no matter what I try. I’m starting to think the internet made up this process.
The other device I was messing with recently was my steam deck, installing a non steam game is just upsettingly challenging sometimes. Lutris isn’t as plug and play as folks say. I ended up finding support on discord from a step missing in the Lutris instructions. I spent like all my free time Monday night installing something. Maybe tonight I’ll find out if it will even work. (Although that is a more promising outlook)
Like I want to like Linux but this is just frustrating.
As an aside. I fucking hate smart TV shit. We were gifted a like Samsung 80 inch 4K tv and I was so excited to get that as a gift. I’d never had a tv bigger than 35. But all the smart shit makes it such a miserable experience.
I’ve also decided I hate HDR. Who made the decision that the TV has its own HDR settings, the console has HDR settings, and then individual games have settings as well. I have no clue if my shit is looking the way it’s supposed to. I recently got a PS portal and on god everything looks better on it than the TV, I think because it’s preconfigured.
I miss just plugging in the game and it looking fine.
