Wow, Jesus. Maya has the same conversational style that Merle Dandridge has in the Half Life 2 commentary tracks (in commentary mode).
That is, even for AI, eerily good. Honestly, I’m not sure if I could always tell them apart if I was fed a bunch of voice clips blind, and asked which ones were human, and which were AI.
This is giving me PTSD over my Comcast router/modem combo. It had no venting, so it suffered from overheating problems, despite having a fan (it would cause the internet performance to degrade dramatically). Eventually I just shucked the entire thing and ran it without it’s plastic chassis. It ran perfectly after that.

I agree, the last genuinely pretty game was Emerald, imo. Diamond and beyond is where 3D assets started weakening the art direction, imo. Either keep the beautiful pixel art, or do proper cel shaded graphics, like windwaker. Personally, I’d stick with pixel art for the strongest possible art direction.

It’s cool tech, but mine broke in two years after being extremely careful with it. The ribbon connector gave out, which is a 20¢ fix. Unfortunately, Samsung doesn’t allow repair shops to replace ribbon cables though, so the shops have to replace both screens and the ribbon connector that connects them. That costs $600, hilariously.
I bought a moto G Stylus for $250 and decided that it was close enough for a fraction of the price to repair or buy new.

In all seriousness though, you have to fight this the same way anti abortion lunatics spent decades fighting for their shit. Because there’s a loooooong way to fall before we even start getting close to a “failed state” classification. That’s too bad, the G stylus is actually a pretty decent midrange phone. It replaced my Fold and I was pleasantly surprised at how far midrange phones have come.
Moto stylus 5g has both. The review said it had bloatware, but it had way less than my S9 or z fold 4. It’s running pretty lean out of the box, with just a few moto apps you don’t really need.

Elite Dangerous. Well over 1,000 hours, especially with friends to explore the black with. Hard to get into, but it has so much stuff to do. It made me passionate about space! (And it’s always fun reading articles about a far-flung star and thinking “hey! I’ve been there!”)
