In the bios options it shows that secure boot is already disabled. It’s not an old pc. I got it around 2021. Z590 motherboard. I’ve already run a system image off of a USB drive, which is how I installed the OS originally.

The motherboard will only give me the option to use linux if it’s in legacy mode. In UEFI only mode it doesn’t show up.
Yes
I ran the installer on the desktop with all other drives disconnected
That’s just an Android feature. And not at all something that requires a neural network.
that’s the sound I make every time I have to boot up the Ubisoft launcher
These games have infinite replay value and people like them. That’s all a top ranking game is. Many have tried to replicate these successes and failed (in recent memory, Concord). There have been a huge number of good games coming out too. But they’re not somthing you put 2,000 hours into with your friends.
There’a a big element of the snowball effect too. Big games attract more players than small games. Esports are a lot like normal sports in that regard. People make new sports pretty often but Football, Basketball, Baseball etc have been around for 100+ years so they have large communities and social relevance. If I asked my buds to go out for a match of “whipple stick”, my new favorite sport, they’d just laugh at me.
On the other hand, new games CAN become huge if they’re built well enough. A few of the top 10 were released less than 10 years ago, which says a lot about how these “main games” DO change over time. I think Deadlock will get up there after a few years of polishing.
You can also build a 3d printer from scratch pretty easily. Would need to regulate random electronics and robotics components
No no they’re going to make Bloodbore 30th anniversary re-release PS5 Pro Exclusive with 45 fps

€10000 per loot box
they must have dialup or live in the middle of nowhere
more people would buy a $3000 Apple monitor than VR. Lest we forget they sold a $1000 monitor stand and $700 pc wheels. I just looked and the Pro Display (XDR? what the hell is that?) is $5000. A 32 inch 16:9 display.
Do developers still make different games for different consoles? I thought the Xbox X was just a stronger Xbox One. Does MS disable these high quality graphics options in the menus?
Framerate unlocking mods on PC for other From games have had major issues. The studio still has terrible practices with tying animations to framerates, damage to framerate, etc
From has sat on this so long that 60 fps isn’t even good anymore. I’ll wait for the 120 fps patch before buying
I love corpo slop journalism it makes my day when an article has zero technical information
The bigger issue I would see is the heat created from dumping all that energy in at once. And can a US outlet even provide that much power?
I figured it out. The issue had nothing to do with my Linux installation. My motherboard had a hidden option to change the UEFI boot order, which is entirely separate from choosing which drive to boot from.
