I don’t think mine shows weather. Is there a setting for that somewhere?
I watched a couple of webinars this week on assistive tech. I had used Look to Speak before, but just learned about Activity Blocks. Also, you can apparently use Google lens on text for difficulty reading cursive or fonts, zoom in, and text to speech (though i can’t get that one to work for me.)
I didn’t notice it was there until i saw this article.
So fucking proprietary and zero customization. I see they’re about to let you place icons…oooh…cool. Barely has widgets. No app drawer (i think) so everything is just there on screen after screen. It’s impossible to find or change anything. Everytime i pick one up i just want to throw it! The real question is -Why does anyone like apple?
On my pixel I can set a gesture of two taps on the back of the phone. I don’t know if Samsung has that option.
Ah. Yeah. I think i read about people being tracked. It seems like they make it easy to steal a bag and turn off the tracker, but i guess they could also just throw it away, so it’s the same.
The instructions are just to remove the battery, which i guess is kind of obvious.
I just airtagged my dogs - they’re escapers. Set it up with my husband’s iPhone. I scanned a tag with my android and it gave me the option to erase the tag. Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of the tag?
What would an app need to do for you to consider spending $1k on it?
Go to the play store and search ‘on this device’.
Check out the eye gaze function. Also Action Blocks. They’re both cool assistive tech things that can be helpful, but trying them out shows you how difficult and exhausting it would be to have to use them for every task.
