1·27 days agoIt has a Ludusavi plugin which can automate backups.
You can define the folder structure used by the app, so if needed, you can backup your documents as raw files (of course, you’ll lose metadata from Paperless).
Next month? Try two weeks ago.

If you actually read the article before getting mad, you’d have realized this is actually better than simple physical media. You get the advantages of both physical (ownership, lending, reselling) and digital (play on multiple devices, no risk of damaging your disc).

Sony doesn’t care about what you do on your PS3. You can literally play online and earn trophies with pirated games without getting banned.

3·2 months agoThey absolutely would oppose them and create (or exclusively use if they don’t already have it) their own platforms. Normies will buy their ball&gun games where they are available. They probably don’t know that Steam has anything other than FIFA or whatever it’s called now.
Losing AAA games would destroy Steam. The revenue of only indie and AA games is only a small (albeit significant) portion of the total. Even the only remaining AAA games in this hypothetical scenario, Valve’s own games, would not save them.
Besides, this isn’t feasible. Either they ask publishers to remove the DRM or leave (they will leave), or they forcibly push updates with cracked executables, which is illegal and a violation of trust.

79·2 months agoBut on GOG, you actually own your games! Well, you don’t, but you can download the files and run the game without the launcher! Well, you also can on Steam and EGS, but… uhhh… whatever, Valve is a monopoly, this is why you should buy from GOG and not any other major competitor to the monopoly like EGS, Ubisoft Connect, BattleNet, itch, Xbox Store, Amazon…
GOG is a meme service, and its fanboys are even more annoying than Valve’s simply because their platform of choice is objectively worse. At least no one defends EGS or Ubisoft Connect.
