A Ziff Davis joint? Probably about as bad as the real thing

Even ignoring that whole parody is protected speech thing, it’s only illegal if there’s someone doing something about it

It’s deterministic. It looks like ass every time.

Yeah, it will be the frame time of 10fps (100ms), plus however long it takes to generate the frames. Plus input, display and all the other latencies.
Note that at 10 FPS you will have a lot less information between frames, so it’s gonna look real bad. It only starts looking presentable at like 45-60 fps.

Yeah, the only case where frame gen makes sense is when you care more about smooth motion than responsiveness, and you’re willing to pay for it with the inherent artifacting.
Games (and TVs) have gotten a lot better at latency compared to the 100+ms PS3 days, so it wouldn’t phase me if someone with a ultra high refresh rate monitor says they prefer having it on because of how smooth it is, but there are big drawbacks.

If my high school physics and maths aren’t failing me, it’s not growing exponentially, it’s growing quadratically because inverse-square law.
Though maybe the energy required to power the laser increases exponentially but idfk

They have been looking into reflecting lasers since the Cold War. Even if you get 99.999% reflectivity, that only gives you a tiny window of time against modern lasers before the coating just goes poof thanks to tiny imperfections becoming hotspots
It’s specially unviable for drones since most drones are supposed to be as cheap as you can make them. And it wouldn’t protect stuff like cameras and sensors.

US supports Banderite coup --> Ukrainian missile factory loses its biggest client --> Missile factory sells its technology on the DL to the program they’re actively trying to sabotage

Yeah but those facts are only valid when talking about how the barbaric asian hordes will invade all of Europe. In other situations they are very frail and have to use old museum pieces. Special operation.
It’s necessary in the US to make it harder for the shooters

Just looking at numbers, this thing is impressive. No small cores but still lower power than the XRING O1, 10 cores, huge GPU. It’s actually going blow-for-blow against the 2nm next generation, based on the revealed or leaked specs. Not bad for their second attempt.
I want to see power consumption numbers, specially when cranking all those cores, cause that multicore performance is nuts.

TSMC is producing it in Taiwan.

For the love of God, copy that floppy

What about those small prebuilt workstations with Strix/Gorgon Halo chips and big ram pools? Chinese OEMs like Beeline and GMKTec are offering some sleek little boxes. I guess it still technically not unified on a system level, but you allot most of it to VRAM in the BIOS regardless. You can probably get comparable performance with a fraction of the cost.

Just like me fr

He does have half a point that it’s like moving to a place that is much less shit

Dr. Lo is adamant about working from home.

Oh sick I was running out of gay furry visual novels

No way to prevent this, says only repo where this regularly happens
