Weird, I was literally just thinking about FLoB last week, and meant to see if he ever got there.

My wife asked what I was doing, so that side tracked me into explaining the Far Lands, and we ended up playing Minecraft for the night.

I honestly expected it to take WAY longer to get there.

Yeah I got mildly excited when I read the title, and now I’m just mildly irritated.

Good for pc players though, it’s something!

Fuck it I’m buying it now.

Half life 2 was my first “I can’t wait to get home and play” game, despite having played so many games from basically 97 onward.

It seems like every time it goes on sale, I am either between contracts or just not able to justify the unnecessary expense.

Now that I have more stable employment it hasn’t gone on sale.

Honestly this by itself might be enough to make me pay full price.

I wonder how long it took, considering they wrote a script to convert the original transcription into PZ usable stuff.

Lol it’s not for everyone, especially if you started out with goldeneye. A lot of people I play with don’t have the same appreciation for it, and that’s okay.

And yeah, it’s so cheesy, it makes people spontaneously develop lactose intolerance.

But much like the movie Evolution, I don’t love it because it’s groundbreaking and iconic to its genre. It’s fun for me.

I’ll be honest, they fucked this game over hard in my opinion.

It really does feel like they separated everyone into teams, and none of the teams spoke to each other once. They all just delivered their chunk of the game without connecting pieces together.

Base building was a nightmare, and that’s the primary reason I downloaded it in the first place.

Kind of killed literally every desire I had to play the game. Especially when they patched the easily accessed chests that at least gave me a shortcut to some things.

Lol. I wasn’t going to be paying full price for a game anyway, but now I’m not paying for gearbox games ever again.

And as long as none of them try profiting off it, Nintendo has no leg to stand on with their usual C&D bullshit.

The spectacle of it would certainly boost sales for a little bit. How much and whether it covers the development time, who knows.

Nintendo can sue me any day, I’m out here making RC hang gliders and making tiny 3 second games where the only purpose is to pull out a glider and put it away instantly.

The last time I used skype, it was to monitor my 3d print because I needed to finish a project and my last attempt went all spaghetti.

So as I was at work I’d log into my computer from my phone, call myself with skype, and check to make sure everything was still okay.

Then I discovered octoprint.

They stated they didn’t break piracy laws because they downloaded a shitload of books for their LLM and didn’t seed any.

Torrents are downloaded by “leeches” and put out for download by “seeders”

A proper ratio of what you downloaded to what you allow others to download should be 1:1 if you’re not a dick. (1gb downloaded means you need to upload 1gb to other users for 1:1) but if you don’t seed at ALL or if you only seed bare minimum to keep downloading things, you’re called a Leech, and derogatorily. Because you didn’t seed.

So they’re stating “we didn’t break the law, we’re just leeches!”

Depends on what I’m playing.

I can comfortably play some games down to 12fps ±3ish, if it isn’t something that’s fast paced.

I have yet to play anything where I’m skilled enough for higher than 30fps to matter response-wise, and while I can notice the difference between 60fps and 240fps on my monitor, I gotta say it doesn’t do much for me.

Maybe I just don’t know what to look for, what I’m missing, or how to set up my laptop right, but who knows. My eyes could be stuck on 720p for all I know.

The problem is not the price.

The problem is Ai “art” is inherently stealing the work of other people, and not in a way that a painter can say they were influenced by some other painter.
