This would be killer!
I have eustachian tube issues that make most headphones very uncomfortable. Not only that I’ve always seen it weird to do that when I have a TV and a good sound system in my living room to use.
Games with bird sounds. This wouldn’t be too bad if i could turn them down or off but because of this I can’t play some games or spend time in specific areas of some games because it make my birds go crazy because they think there’s another bird in the house.
I wish we could individually turn up or down all of the different elements if sounds not just music/sfx/voice etc

I’ve just gotten used to knowing i can get the latest and greatest and AUR makes a lot of stuff easy when it comes to getting stuff not readily available on the package manager. There’s not often i can’t find something i want or need to not be on there.
I’ve used both base arch and cachyos. I’ve landed on cachyos for now because i didn’t want to fiddle with games and wine and just wanted them to work and they just do on cachyos. Laptops that i don’t expect to game on just get base arch with hyprland installed, just mostly so i can get my tinkering fix from modifying hyprland

I don’t think the union was official yet, i think they were discussing unionising

Not to mention the bombardment of phone calls and messages while trying to "mourn’. Awful pacing.

The game is definitely too sparse and spread out. It should’ve taken more inspiration from the likes of yakuza than gta and made a smaller but more dense world to play in where every nook and cranny ACTUALLY meant something rather than giving the illusion of doing so.

To me every nook and cranny just looks bland with nothing to do there. Everywhere just had the same sidewalks and railings. There’s no way i could ever navigate that game without waypoints.
And with the acting the emphasis she puts on certain words in a sentence just don’t match the situation and the others she’s talking to, and it feels like she swaps between extreme emotions on the same dialogue and it’s like tonal whiplash to me. There was no nuance to lay in between, and nothing to unpack for the listener. You know when she’s angry because she has her 110% angry voice on and so on.
Unless the situation is heightened and dire, it just never fit in my opinion. Her performance fits a stage play more than what’s meant to be an immersive video game in my opinion.
Jackie’s and Keanu’s voice acting though was stellar.

Cyberpunk 2077.
It’s okay, but it’s a far cry from giving me the feelings of a cyberpunk world in my opinion and I’m a massive fan of blade runner and the like.
Why am i spending so much time wandering at the street level where everywhere just looks and feels the same. Travelling is so boring.
And the voice acting of V (I played female) is so overreacted, it’s one of the cringiest performances in gaming, considering it’s meant to be all serious and whatnot.

4s driving and shooting was better than SA but everything else makes SA better. I wanted then to marry the two together for the best GTA possible but they never did and probably won’t ever

I preferred path of neo personally. It just played better in my opinion and i found the extra bits fun padding for a game i wanted more of
Didn’t know you could buy used licenses, I’ll definitely have to look into them. Thanks again.
Ooo thanks for the zrhythm reco. They might be suitable for me because i liked my time with the bitwig trial, but I’m below even a hobby music maker and only like to mess around every now and then so paying the price they ask for is probably not financially responsible for me at the moment.
I’ve always struggled installing it on wine. But I’ve never been good at wine and other windows translation stuff outside of letting things like steam and heroic install and manage those things for me.
Bigwig Studio is made by some of the original Devs of Ableton i believe and from what I’ve messed around with it in a trial. It’s way better (stylish too). If I was less of an occasional dabbler in music production I’d absolutely pay for this. Linux is not a second class citizen to them which is great, any VSTs they release themselves always work on Linux natively too.
Theres also reaper, but I feel like the barrier to entry on that one can feel a bit daunting. It never feels just ready to go for a newcomer.
Theres also a bunch of different trackers that are Linux compatible some with VST support too, but that’s a very different way of making music from the traditional DAW.

I ultimately don’t think he’s a bad guy so I’m rooting for him to show us wrong.
I think he always just believed in his vision too much and didn’t realise that he and his team couldn’t end up delivering on it. And then he’d be so excited about what he’s working on that he just couldn’t not share it with others. I don’t think he ever intended to mislead.
I know there’s the milo thing but with that I feel like he still thought they could do it in the end but Microsoft just needed something right there and then to show. I think that issue ends up more squarely on whoever sold him on what the hardware could do and he had not yet fully hit those walls of limitations enough to realise they weren’t coming down at all. (I also think this goes for Sean Murray too when he did the talk show circuit that Sony put him on - although without the hardware stuff and more on whether or not they could deliver on time since they’ve shown what they wanted was actually possible with future updates)

If you are able to i think ensuring they’re installed on different drivers alleviates most issues

Be careful, windows can fuck up some dual boot setups and make the Linux side worse
And some games don’t let you use both at the same time!
