An just 30-something Software Dev that enjoys gaming, woodworking, electronics and plenty of other hobbies. Too many hobbies.

He’s not talking about fedora, he didn’t ask about if fedora’s changes would make it into cachy os but about the timeframe on how quickly the plasma login manager being a default for the plasma desktop environment on cachy os. Talk about whiffing right over the head, I think it must’ve been in orbit.

Aren’t you thinking about them more by having to explicitly think of replacing the a with an asterisk when you want to refer to them?

This is why I like Vice City Stories. It implements some things from SA but keeps the vice city aesthetics intact.
My top 5 would probably be:
San Andreas
IV
Vice City Stories
Vice City
3

Yes, they just don’t release every game they work on, or sit on them for longer than most because their finances are no longer dependent on the games they make themselves

HTPCs are why bazzite is as popular as it is

I’m in the same boat, my main gaming pc is still bazzite for now (I use it like a HTPC) but eventually when i can be bothered I’ll be on cachy os as I’ve really enjoyed being able to use the arch-iness on my other devices that have it.

If you want to get technical yeah I guess it wouldn’t be independent because it wasn’t independently funded.

Personal i think the criteria for no longer being an indie dev is if the company is funded by a publisher or the company itself has been or has the capacity to be a publisher themselves

I thought they had a publisher

Chill my dude, that kind of unwarranted aggression isn’t going to be good for your health

Initially because i had a HTPC and windows with big picture mode still felt like a second class experience as there were no system settings in big picture mode itself. Went to bazzite as soon as i got an amd card.
Then I had a surface go 2 that could no longer update to the next version of windows because Microsoft didn’t give it enough built in memory to process the download. So i went to arch hyprland and gained so much more time on battery and things ran smoother. So now all of my other devices (except a work laptop) are now on Linux (cachyos is my go to now).

I’ve played loads of it on my anbernic GBA

Ah I see. I think it’d be a good reference point on what’s on the lower end still though even if you don’t use portmaster itself

Check out portmaster

This is on pretty much all keyboards. It’s on the standard G Board even. Look into the settings of whatever keyboard you’re already using, it’s likely just turned off.

I think because RWS were kind of similar. Before Postal they just made a few educational games like Sesame Street etc. They probably felt they were giving a studio that was in a similar position to them the same kind of chance they got.

Yeah that’s mostly what i use it for. A way to search for things that i can’t describe well enough for a traditional search engine so I can find out at a glance what it’s name is and if it’s valid for my situation. If it is then I go look up documentation. Any time I’ve stayed in the LLM past that I eventually go down a rabbit hole of wrong ideas that aren’t always obvious until you get a bit too deep and you’ve wasted an hour with an incorrect solution.
Since Google sheets came around I’ve always found freaking with excel more of a headache so I’ve not touched it for a loooong time. Only the reader version when someone sends me an xlsx in an email
