I second bazzite. I tried arch since I heard it was so customizable that you gained performance but after numerous headaches of tring to connect to the internet, downloading packages one by one without even knowing what I was doing since Im still not even that familiar with the linux ecosystem, i just downloaded bazzite, used rufus to put it on a key, and it worked first try no hassle. Im a bazzite boi now. Im actually impressed with how well nvdia is slowly becoming useable too on that distro, half a year ago you couldnt even use wayland and had to still use x11 but now it works (DISCLAIMER FIDDLING IS REQUIRED WITH NVDIA I HEARD THAT WITH AMD IT JUST WORKS)

What is starting to annoy me is context button prompts. One button to rule them all i mean. What is this, an elaborate power point presentation? Feels like a relic of the mouse in action.

Tbh once i got through the boring introduction, I spent more time ffing around than actually progressing the story. If you do jobs instead of the main story, and consider that as the main gameplay loop the replayability is insane.

The real problem is how the game tries to funnel you into finishing the game, like the main quest is always there occupying the quest log when you open it, everytime you do a gig it defaults back to it etc…

Honestly the game is more fun imo when you are just running/driving around interacting with the world and accidently doing gigs rather than bee lining the story.

I really hate that there isint any new game + and that they cap levels. They should add a bigger spike of difficulty too.

Would be nice to get the names of alternatives, always irked me that the biggest repo for open source projects is privately owned

Seconding this. All the pain ive incurred was due to nvdia, but I just had to get one for the cuda and RT. I wish i had dlss though. Maybe it will get implemented later who knows.

The only problems ive been having on bazzite, were nvdia based ones. Thats it. Nvdia drivers amiright? Honestly yeah ever since i installed in june my machine has been aging like fine wine. If you have probs for it on an amd system id be surprised tbh.

Bazzite. Its pretty swell for gaming, comes with an install script at launch for whatever you want extra, and you update manually or automatically so its pretty low maintenance.

Installed without a hitch, and I game on nvdia. Should work even better for you. Get the right iso though, the desktop non nvdia one.

I tried plasma through my steam deck. Its heaven. It has comepletly soured windows for me. I will miss my cracked adobe though. Why did I not jump ship when windows was starting their OS based ads?
