Is new egg back to being a good site to buy from? Felt like they got pretty crappy for awhile
Sure. There’s room for improvement though. Right to be forgotten laws are a good thing and if the world ever starts to pull out of the scoiopolitical backslide maybe more and more countries will adopt these laws. Would be a foolish move for hosts running fediverse servers to ignore such laws. Doubt many Lemmy admin are layered up and ready to try to fight these.
90s sounds nostalgic right now, but at some point we need to move forward not back.
Well this would only apply to servers that are not in a country that supports right to delete correct?
Tell your friend in a dictorial country that Lemmy.ml has pro dictorial leanings and is probably not the best instance for someone who is feeling oppressed.
Don’t assume it was an action you should avoid in the future. Try the “. ML” instance perhaps, but I think these ask lemme channels are bottom of the barrel for mods. It’s just a power trip for them and these “ask” forums are a transient population without a strong sense of community. I’d chalk it up to some bad luck with a grumpy mod and move on.
Ctrl+z?
Sadly, I don’t think there is.
But you can also block without going into community as asked here using block list.
Connect has a block list where you can add instances and coms without going to them.
Thanks for making me feel like an idiot for not knowing things after age 30.
Yeah, it’s time to nip this on the front end though. ToS are such a part of daily life now. They should be regulated to be concise, use standardized consumer-friendly language, and have bounds against non-arbitration and other nonsense like this. This sort of legislation is well overdue.
I grew up with the very mention of the word Nintendo triggering dopamine spews in my brain. It’s so hard to turn hatred toward them, but the time has come. They’ve turned into such dicks.
