Look at the steam discussion fourm on that game its a cess put of bitter chuds complaining about this update.
As long as it’s opt in I’d happily give user data to improve ui\ux. But it doesn’t seem like it is so good!
Ah fuck this is such a hard read to much emotion. What a beautiful thing the internet is. Reading this kind of unblackpilled me a bit and reminded me of the relationships and realness that are experienced online in virtual worlds.
It’s 4x the size of the base game. It introduces tons of mechanics. I can see myself putting thousands of hours into this.
Understandable concerns and reasonable response assuming it’s true. I hope it remains open source because I spent so much time moving over and getting my family on board and using it. I’d hate to have to move again.
Took a bit for me to figure out wtf this was but after seeing your other post this is super cool. I’ve never gotten far enough in satisfactory to implement something like this but everytime I see this giant base screenshots I want to dive in and finish the game.
I heard one of the devs talk about it and it seems like a real labor of love from true lbp fans. If they can get it to release it’s gonna be so good.
Do you want this social media to be for your family to use only with family members or for them to use with family and beyond?
Revolt could be good as a local family group chat if you like the discord style. You’ve probably already tried it but Pixelfed/mastodon/misskey sound like the easiest to get family on board with and seem like they would be good family social media platforms IMO.
Now I’m even more confused. Why would I want edit old versions of a file like that. The article compares the file snapshot to having a copy of that file but I wouldn’t have a copy. There has to be some performance overhead from doing all this unnecessary storing and changing of files compared to normal reading and writing?
It means you can split your GPU into multiple vGPUs and pass them through to Virtual machines I believe. Similar to what we do with cpu
I download a lot of non playstore apps how can I check they don’t have this issue? I don’t think I downloaded anything sketchy but maybe.
People should know its an option they can. Explore. Especially since this person was using it as a reason to call the steamdeck not a PC.
You can install system wide apps by turning off immutabe mode and configurating something. I might be talking out my ass though cause I have done this but I don’t remember if it persisted across updates.
Any gnome users here able to give a review of the browser? Is it a reskin of an existing browser or is it actually unique?
This only gets more effective by the year
I ignore game reviews and buy based off watching the trailer and reading the steam reviews. If I don’t like the game in 2 hours I’ll refund it.
Some guilds expect their members to be ready for new expansions I’m sure they would make an exception for this fella but he seems to proud to admit he can’t afford the expansion.
Why are you trying to play over LAN instead of hosting the server and having both users connect?
If you’re set on playing over LAN you can try zerotier.
Yeah fps is fine in game but simulation speed is terrible. Your game sim speed will grind to a crawl once you place a bit of high density.
Games got custom maps and assets and is building up a range of great mods.
Honestly you won’t notice any meaningful performance difference between a “gaming” distro and a normal one.
If you want gaming stuff configured out of the box try popOS. I believe pop also has a custom scheduler and kernel.
