I guess games like Monkey Island (1 to 3, and Return, the 3D ones would be harder) could work using the touch screen or touchpad working as a mouse

4K max settings with RT max, and without frame generation, only achieved 30s FPS in the game
So basically 720p doesn’t perform much better than 4k, meaning it’s a horrible CPU bottleneck
I also have hints here https://youtu.be/T5rBc_T8x2g
I’m obsessed with The 7th Guest lol
definitely Deus Ex
but also The 7th Guest lol
maybe the idea is that round keys will have less typos than rectangular keys that are all touching each other?
Yes the post belongs to the user and the user’s instance. The community basically just boosts/retweets the post.
SA1 is still my favorite in the series
I guess Sonic Adventure 1 has a little bit of this, with the hub worlds. New abilities can allow you to reach new places in the hub worlds
yea dependencies seem like a real issue here, I don’t think Linux supports side-by-side versions like Windows does, Windows will just install every version of DirectX and libraries like that
The default Lemmy-UI (website), IDK about others
Heavy modding of older games PC can be a pain in the ass.
Sometimes the older games are the easy ones to mod, and the new games make it intentionally difficult. Doom, Duke Nukem 3D, Quake, Deus Ex are all mod-friendly.
It can also depend on how much work the mod developer puts into making it easy.
(I notice you have an MiB as your profile pic and Deus Ex’s Liberty Island skybox as your profile banner lol)
(Because mods compete against sequels or something?
yea sequels, expansion packs, and DLC
Yeah it depends on the app, they don’t all do it. Boost shows cross posts, but doesn’t merge them.
What app are you using? The regular Lemmy-UI already does this. In fact I have a feature request asking to be able to disable it…
the default appears to be StoreLinkPreviews
in v0.19.8
https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/blob/0.19.8/crates/utils/src/settings/structs.rs#L85-L88
but in the main
branch it’s ProxyAllImages
, so I guess that’ll be for a future release
https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/blob/main/crates/utils/src/settings/structs.rs#L74-L77
this might help https://monero.town/post/2020876
I guess you could call GET /internal/hashes?{query}
to see all the images
I think there’s a guide for that somewhere? Maybe I can try looking for it tomorrow if no one else finds it first. I think the admin control panel that shows uploaded images might also show the federated ones?
See the config.hjson for image_mode

it’s such a good soundtrack! the in-game MIDIs are great too
