Thanke Edit: Oh, I guess it is on Steam now?? The trailers definitely had a Gog logo at the end but not a Steam logo. This was the game that convinced me to get Gog in the first place lol

The Croc remake is Gog exclusive (and on console) and I love it! It’s the first single player PC game that I’ve 100%'ed!

I’ve said it before, but I really don’t get the GTA VI hype. The last Grand Theft Auto game being released over a decade ago isn’t any guarantee that the next one will be amazing - Duke Nukem, Metroid, Overwatch and Star Fox are examples of that. Also, anyone who’s been paying attention to the direction Rockstar games has been going for the last 5+ years would be pretty worried about how this game will actually turn out. A lot of stuff that used to be earned with in-game currencies in GTA online are only buyable with real money now. Their employee track record is horrible… Hearing about Rockstar not producing discs for their game doesn’t surprise me. Maybe GTA VI will “crash the industry” and all the things these YouTubers are saying, but it would be on status alone at the moment, not because we know this is going to be a great game.

I’m pleasantly surprised to see Human Fall Flat here though. I don’t hear many people talk about it, but it has a seriously fun multiplayer

Thanks for this. I started Linux with Ubuntu, just because being the most popular distro, I figured it would most likely to be compatible with everything. I was just about to make a post asking why the Linux community dunks on Ubuntu, but this graphic explains a lot

I migrated to Ubuntu from Windows 10 when it became end-of-life last year. I had a major head start beforehand because my work allowed me to dabble in Linux for a good 2 years beforehand, though! It’s been great! Pretty much everything that you “can’t do” on Windows has some sort of open source alternative. Can’t have Microsoft Office on Linux? Download Libreoffice for free! Can’t have Adobe Creative Cloud? Just download Krita and Kdenlive for free! Can’t have Microsoft Edge? What on earth do you want it for?? You don’t really need to use the terminal for most things, but it can make a lot of things much easier and quicker if/when you do get your head round it.

The only notable weak point is a few specific online videogames. Valve Anti Cheat really doesn’t play well with Linux (which is really dumb because Valve are so well known for supporting Linux). I’ve managed to get Left 4 Dead 2 playing online using “Steam Runtime 1.0 (scout)” but I haven’t found anything that works for Team Fortress 2. That being said, most other online games like Bloons TD6 and Worms WMD work perfectly natively, 90% of games released last year were natively Linux compatible, and the CEO of GOG said they’d like to support Linux more too, so even this is an improving situation!
