Can’t even blame Blizzard, it’s the people who keep buying this shit that are actually the problem.
Por que no dos?
I have room in my heart to hate both groups.

There’s also the fact that people will pay for it. Would you take a million dollars to let your favorite game put a skin of you in it holding a sign saying “I care more about the money I made from this skin than the quality of this game”?
I hate the practice, but I despise the fact that it always turns out to be so damn profitable.
They put Mailbox and Auction House on it which AFAIK the only mount that has both which is incredibly valuable.
Create the problem, sell the solution.
What did you expect to happen after Diablo
4immortal?
After Diablo Immortal I knew not to purchase Diablo 4 in the first month. After how profitable Diablo Immortal was of course this was going to be the way Blizzard continued to go.
This is why I’m more and more playing Indie games. The game has to be made by someone who wanted to make a fun game, as anyone with a profit incentive is just going to make Candy Crush and for some reason people will pay for it.
Companies will charge what the market will bear. If Netflix increases prices and lowers quality and people keep paying the higher price for lower quality, then Netflix will keep doing it. It’s up to consumers to not pay for enshittification in order to stop it.
So far, the best system we’ve come up with as a species is heavily regulated capitalism with strong social safety nets
And for quite a lot of human history the best system we had come up with was Feudalism, until we started doing something better.
Just because Capitalism is the best we’ve come up with so far doesn’t mean we should just accept it, or that 1000 years from now people won’t look at the Capitalism with the same disdain we look at Feudalism.
Until it stops increasing profits.
I’ve played so many live games…
If people stop paying for them they will go away
Action Roguelikes solve the grinding problem of ARPGs because you can’t grind. So instead of farming for the set piece you need, or to optimally fill your stat boxes, you’re trying to just use the things you find the best you can. There’s no “I completed my ultimate build and enemies are trivial” because at the start of the next run you won’t have your Uber build and will need to find a new one from the pieces you collect.
Hades is a well known success. I’ve recently started playing Hand of Fate 2 again, and it has a unique system that I really like.
Therefore you might accidentally buy a game without knowing you need it and can’t just "not buy the game and move
Launch the game, see that it requires a sign in, refund the game because it doesn’t have over 2 hours of play time.
The difficult steps in FTL are no joke. I was having no difficulty clearing on easy and was just trying to unlock all the ships. Once I did I switched to normal and had to restart 3 times before getting out of the first sector.
I’ve been taking part in the beta, as far as Steam is concerned me and my friends are a thrupple. Works pretty well, other family member’s games just show up in your library. Haven’t had any issues, Steam will tell you if your copy is in use by a family member and you either play something else or ask them to quit.
An excellent example of storytelling elevating a game. The game play is a decent puzzle platformer, and the story is very charming.
A deck construction game where the cards you choose to put in the deck are the challenges you will face on your run. You unlock more cards by completing challenges on the cards you have.
You can skip the first one and play the sequel, it’s more polished.
That’s good!
My first reaction was to look for the onion
That’s bad
Multimillionaires, billionaires, they’re all part of the problem.
So what laws are you proposing to fix this? Or do you just think whining that they exist will cause them to give away their money?
The Steam forums actively encourage this kind of bad faith behavior:
when a post gets a new reply it’s moved to the top of the forums. So as long as people are engaging with a post, even if it’s just to make fun of a bigot, it keeps getting pushed back to the top.
Users can “award” posts for various things (helpfull, cool, funny, etc) and users have taken to giving ‘Clown’ awards as a way of making fun of posts. Whenever one of your posts gets an award, you are given Steampoints you can use in the Steam cosmetics store.
This results in every game having bad faith posts “complaining” about wokeness so that people will make fun of them with Clown awards as a way to farm Steampoints. The developer bringing attention to it just helps them get more.
