Tangentially related but since they mentioned TVs, are there any ways to flash smart TVs with something barebones? Not just “use pi hole and host jellyfin” but like… actually get rid of all the bloatware. Mines starting to slow down and I have a feeling its mostly that garbage corporate software it came with.

I just don’t think these games are for me anymore. I was cautiously optimistic from the way they talked about Bad Company 2 being a major inspiration, but meatgrinder FPS’s are just boring now? I played like 2-3 Rush matches yesterday and was immediately like “yeah I won’t be spending money for this”.

Shame, I was hoping I could tap into the chaotic fun (i do like how Recon starts off being able to run shotgun+c4+sensor, easily my favorite loadout in Battlefield) but I think the older I get the more I want to play games that are… not like this, in a lot of ways.

For the record I’ve played BF games since the 1942 alpha till like the last 10 years.
