Blender ships with a VR scene inspection addon. I’m wondering if you can install blender on the headset and work on your scene with the 2d desktop and then launch the VR scene Inspection to view it in 3D VR? Also can you stream blender from a desktop to the headset and launch the scene inspection from the headset? I’m really curious about these to work flows.

    Here to report back.

Blender does not make a linux-arm build available. ATM there is no ARM version that can be easily installed.

The x86 version on steam installs and runs fine. Unfortunately VR sessions do not start. It seems there is no valid OpenXR runtime for the app to latch onto.

Thank you! I kind of figured this would happen. Hopefully it works by the time I can get one. ( I’m in reservation queue ).

I’m pretty sure the Frame does do OpenXR, but it might not be offering it to applications running in “2D” mode.

Funnily enough I was futzing about with WiVRn and blender vr scene inspector on bazzite earlier, and things seem to work well in matcap non eevee/cycles mode, but the moment you try and calculate lights and shadow the performance tanks… It was able to see the XR runtime and such so I assume it’ll be similar on the frame esp since it works with steam’s own vr runtime

I’ll be able to test once mine arrives, unless someone who has already received theirs chimes in first.
