    Unmentioned is first class vertical tabs. It’s still experimental, so you have to enable it via about:config. Set sidebar.verticalTabs to true.

      and it’s been that way for the past few versions, which is probably why they don’t mention it in the changelog just yet

        Do you just mean an easy way to close tabs accessed via the vertical sidebar? I’ve been using this custom FF theme which has an option for a close tabs button alongside tabs when you hover over them. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + W to close the current tab
