I assume it has to do with the fact that the Nvidia spark devices are targeted at running larger local models and now acquiring the main source of distribution of said open source models

I thought margarine OS and I couldn’t believe it didn’t default BTRFS

No it’s unofficial but it’s I believe the biggest/primary arch Linux community discord .
In their roles chanel you can pick one to get security pings… major ones are typically also everyone pinged but some have those disabled

There were announcements and security ping in the arch Linux community discord… But I wish they’d be more vocal on this outside discord especially given discords controversy as of late
Update: they finally posted about it in the arch news feed last night… A bit late but better than never. Npm removed the malicious package, but then the bad actors started using bun instead…
As others have proposed, I really think that orphaned packages should require a moderator of the aur to approve the commit and acquisition of an orphaned package. Currently nothing stops someone from spinning up accounts and hijacking these abandoned projects
People with dual boot are more likely to have games on NTFS and think that they can use them under Linux and not realize that just because some people get lucky with it for a while does not override the fact that the proton GitHub itself says do not use NTFS for the previously stated reasons
NTFS has gotten better on Linux but it’s still not there. It is still highly prone to corruption, especially for a task like proton requiring constant read, write. You might get by for a little bit, but it is highly prone to failure
Source: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/wiki/Using-a-NTFS-disk-with-Linux-and-Windows
And ntfs does not work with proton so if you keep your Windows games that don’t work on a separate drive, they won’t work on linux. Make sure all of your games played on the Linux install are downloaded separately onto a Linux file system like ext4

Better advice. Screw AI. But if you’re going to use it for the love of God, don’t give a non-local AI access to your private emails. Holy opsec fail
I think so too… I had to upgrade it from 4gb ddr3 to 8 🤣
I’ll have to check that out too… I have this ancient laptop from 2011 that just collects dust otherwise… I have arch installed on it but the SSD bay is one screw access, so not much hassle to swap for the once a year at most I need that program
I will have to check that out. I use it for my switch 2, I ended up resorting to using a spare SSD. I had lying around to have a extremely minimal Windows 10 install that I can swap into an old laptop for the sole purpose of of getting firmware updates and managing the macros

I just switched out octopi for Shelly (CachyOs also did on the latest iso) and Shelly is so much more user friendly, although I’ll probably just stick to using terminal myself. You can manage packages from the repos aur flat pack and app image all-in-one GUI application

Meanwhile at least we have a little longer than September before they actually ruin the platform completely… How long? Who could say but I’ll take what small victories I can get

There actually has been an update on this. The advanced flow has been revealed and it’s like a 24-hour wait and a few prompts to go through and I’ll reboot and enabling developer mode… Bit of friction but all in all it’s better than nothing I guess.
The dev verification is “optional”. With the condition that if a developer doesn’t then users can only install after jumping through a few hoops.

While I think this would be a much smoother experience, I would love to give this a shot except it doesn’t have support for mobile, which is the main device that I would be sending files back and forth with my PC on. So I guess I’ll stick with localsend for now. With googles upcoming changes I doubt a mobile version will be happening any time soon
But man… If I was only going between PCs this is awesome

Same, Vivaldi is my Netflix box. Zen for everything else
It actually also allows other programs to execute code through Kitty, example if you cat a file that has escapes in it. It would allow Kitty to execute that code when you never intended it… But like why does kitty even have that as a feature? But they’ve since updated the config to be set to socket only instead of yes
