As a Windows refugee, I appreciate that KDE Plasma works like Windows. I was missing a window manager style from Windows called FancyZones and wouldn’t you know it somebody made that for Plasma. Now I’m truly fully entrenched being a Linux normie user.

Funnily enough they are the best to degoogle with. GrapheneOS still only works with Pixels. I have slight hope that Motorola deal with them becomes a success.

This won’t bode well for those thinking of buying second hand Pixel 10 if they (me) want to have the latest-1 for GOS. Might not have enough tech addicts upgrade to the 11.

Judging from the available pictures in the article, I assume it will be as thick as the ultra phones from vivo, oppo, etc with their camera mega island / stove top. So as thick as the phone’s thinnest side.

I’m not too surprised really. modding old games and the mod pack takes literal decades to finish. for example red alert 2, tiberium sun, CNC generals (and zero hour) just for the ones that interest me.

bugs exists. modders fix bugs. especially so for games that are still getting updates, even one as scarcely updated as Terraria. I recall some long time ago the Terraria devs said the game is “finished” and then later on some big anniversary year they released a surprise update. my memory is faulty so don’t quote me

Aw geez, wish I can help more. But IMO the dev is very aware of this. IIRC when 5.2.4, this current latest version, dropped, I remember seeing in-app popup pointing to that GitHub issue that the dev opened.

I can corroborate that when I turn off my custom DNS it works swimmingly, until YouTube figured out to block my IP again.

If android is truly getting locked down, I’ll just get the cheapest smartphone I can get because everything here in my country needs their own smartphone app for their own 2FA and they all want Play Integrity. It’s getting really annoying to bypass all these asinine roadblocks on my fucking phone.

Banks and online shopping apps can get bent policing my phone.

And I’ll just carry a small Linux laptop to do all my other internet and computing needs. Shit’s fucked up. And carry a Faraday bag just for the phone.
